Knight is taking the month off so I am stuck with the job of filling his space.
So I will try my best and just enter some random thoughts.
It it just me or has the length of the heat waves and the strength and duration of the of the winds increased
considerably since I came to Las Vegas on January 1, 1997? nobody cares.
Am I alone in worrying about my water being supplied by a shrinking lake Through a the third straw that was
opened in Lake Mead on September 23, 2015? I hope someone is consulting with Israel about another way to get water.
My wife Lou Janice will be having an operation on her shoulder on August 14th at 6:00 a.m. to try to
relieve the pain from a damaged ligament. She has very many aches and pains due to back problems and cancer treatments.
She didn’t need this new one. She is already taking multiple pain killers.
I have got my WWII German helmet ready for the possibility of a war with North Korea.
This issue of the news is late because of all kinds of personnel problems. My health is good so far but you never
know. The next “Foghorn” is due to be published on September 14th. I hope Knight is available by then. Maybe I better
start paying more attention to local news like Mark Manendo’s and Senator Heller’s problems.
I hope all of you are happy and well. -VERN
